SDA will not support the no-confidence vote for BiH Council of Ministers

FENA Press release

SARAJEVO, January 11 (FENA) - The Party of Democratic Action (SDA) stated that it would not support the no-confidence vote and the dismissal of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina because it is a populist initiative that does not aim to solve problems in the country but to deepen them and lead to a complete blockade.

According to the statement, the SDA is not satisfied with the work of the Chairman of the Council of Ministers Zoran Tegeltija and will continue to criticize and put pressure on him to start meeting his obligations, but they also believe that in this delicate political moment, it is better for Bosnia and Herzegovina to have any kind of the Council of Ministers, than that not to have it at all.

"The goal of the opposition, which obviously does not think about the citizens but about the next elections, is to create a chaotic political situation and blockade of the state that would last for the next two years, hoping that they could then use it as an argument in the next elections," says the SDA.

They emphasize that in any serious representative democracy, MPs, before launching an initiative, comprise a precise analysis of all potential benefits, but also risks, and on the basis of such a prediction, they seek support for their initiatives.
