SARAJEVO, January 6 (FENA) - Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Milorad Dodik extended congratulations to metropolitans, bishops, clergy and monks of the Serbian Orthodox Church and all the Orthodox faithful on the occasion of the upcoming holiday, Orthodox Christmas.
In the congratulatory message conveyed by the Presidency of BiH, he pointed out that the symbolism of important holidays should be a guideline for everyone in difficult times full of temptations and challenges.
“I wish these holidays will give you the strength to cope with all the challenges we face, especially during the coronavirus pandemic that is ravaging the world and taking many lives, and to spend the holidays with your loved ones, surrounded by love, warmth and joy,” he said.
He expressed his belief that Christmas will encourage all people to show more love, tolerance, understanding and care for others in these difficult and challenging times.
Dodik reminded that Christmas is the happiest Christian holiday and wished that the holiday spirit fills the hearts of all people with faith in a better tomorrow, with mutual forgiveness, understanding and love.
