SARAJEVO, January 6 (FENA) - Although we are currently living in difficult conditions and in the midst of troubles with the Covid-19 pandemic, with sorrow and grief over everything that happened to us in 2020, with the strength of faith and hope that God gives us, we encourage you and invite you not to lose heart. May life and the joy of life triumph over all miseries and troubles, said today the Metropolitan Hrizostom of Dabar-Bosna in a Christmas message to the Orthodox clergy and the faithful in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
"Having found ourselves in these troubles, we invite you to feel God's great love for us by the birth and humility of the Son of God and let us show our love for our neighbors and everyone else, far and beyond. We see people around us who need help. Let's help as much as we can and not reject anyone," stressed Metropolitan Hrizostom.
He also appealed to the authorities - local, cantonal and the entity ones- to turn to their citizens, to really see them and to truly help them as it is done in socially organized societies.
"We do not need to invent anything new, but systematically organize our society and make our peoples proud and dignified, and our citizens happy and satisfied. This is our appeal and request to help the victims of earthquakes, floods and landslides - people and communities who are going through great trials and sufferings. May we have a happy and blessed Christmas, a happy and blessed New Year 2021," said in his mesage Metropolitan Hrizostom of Dabar-Bosna.
