Tourism as a bridge connecting BiH with Albania

SARAJEVO, December 25 (FENA) - In order to promote tourism and strengthen cooperation, the Tourist Board of the Sarajevo Canton participated in the meeting organized by the Association of Bosnia and Herzegovina-Albanian Friendship in Tirana with representatives of the business and tourism sector from Albania.

On that occasion, the Chairman of the Sarajevo Canton Tourist Board Mufik Muslić talked with Ines Mucostepa, President of the Union of Chambers of Commerce of Albania, about future cooperation and invited representatives of chambers of commerce, tour operators, media, and tourist workers from Albania to pay an official working and promotional visit to Sarajevo Canton.

He emphasized the readiness to present the tourist potentials of Sarajevo Canton to the guests, and the expectation that in 2021, the interest of tourists from Albania to visit Sarajevo and BiH will increase. President Mucostepa expressed interest in Muslić's invitation to visit and future cooperation, emphasizing that tourism is the bridge that connects the two countries.

Muslić and his associates visited Landways International - a tourist agency from Tirana, which has the highest turnover of tourist arrivals in the Balkans and BiH, and with Neritan Selita - director of the agency, discussed the importance of timely action to change and create better conditions for new tourist tours are believed to begin before the first half of 2021. At the meeting, experiences were exchanged and advice for better business was shared, with the hope that 2021 will be a good start to the tourist recovery from large losses in tourism caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the SC Tourist Board said.
