MOSTAR, December 22 (FENA) - The decision of the Central Election Commission of BiH to do a recount at as many as 70 (out of 150) polling stations in Mostar confirmed suspicions of serious irregularities and manipulations that the Croat People's Assembly (HNS) warned about.
"On Sunday at 17.00 hrs., we had drastic changes and a turnout trend in the area where the Bosniak population lives which cannot be rationally explained because no major crowds have been recorded in those places, and the turnout grew unprecedentedly by several percent.
"After such a scandal of unprecedented scale, especially in Mostar, which was without an election process for so many years, we demand the irrevocable resignation of members of the Central Election Commission of BiH because they have been unable to establish standards and conditions for democratic elections, and we ask for the involvement of judicial and police institutions in all future that would follow," stated the HNS.
