SARAJEVO, December 16 (FENA) - Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina Bisera Turković today chaired a meeting of the Partnership Commission of the US-Adriatic Charter (A5).
Representatives of member states and observers of the US-Adriatic Charter spoke at the meeting, the Cabinet of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of BiH announced.
Representatives of the signatory countries of the charter adopted a statement expressing gratitude for the support to NATO and the European Union in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic, but also for the support in the areas of preserving health and economic systems.
“The progress made by BiH in the implementation of reform programs is emphasized and welcomed, as well as the fulfillment of part of the obligations arising from the 14 priorities of the European Commission. BiH's progress on the European path is supported, with the goal of obtaining candidate status in 2021. The members of the charter express their deep gratitude to BiH for its active and successful presidency during 2020, despite the significant difficulties that this country had to deal with during the Covid-19 pandemic,” it is stated.
The members of the US-Adriatic Charter (A5) are Montenegro, Croatia, Albania, Northern Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the United States (USA).
