SARAJEVO, December 16 (FENA) - The Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina has determined the Proposal of the Memorandum of Understanding between the European Union and Bosnia and Herzegovina for macro-financial assistance to BiH in the amount of up to 250 million euros.
Also, at today's session, the Proposal of the agreement on the credit line between the European Union, BiH and the Central Bank of BiH on macro-financial assistance for Bosnia and Herzegovina was determined.
The soft loan will be directed to Republika Srpska (37.5 percent), the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (61.5 percent) and the Brčko District (1 percent).
The goal of the proposed macro-financial assistance is to assist Bosnia and Herzegovina, i.e. the entities and the Brčko District of BiH.
The aid is intended to support BiH's economic stabilization and reform program, and is paid in two installments, each amounting to 125m euros, the BiH Council of Ministers said.
The first tranche shall be disbursed without any additional economic policy measures and will be available after the entry into force of the memorandum and the loan agreement.
The second tranche is expected after the fulfillment of defined economic policy measures in BiH, i.e. the entities and the Brčko District, which relate to strengthening the institutional framework for macroeconomic analysis and planning, financial sector, good governance and fight against corruption, as well as support for economic recovery and employment, it was announced from the Council of Ministers of BiH.
