SARAJEVO, December 7 (FENA) - The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov will pay an official visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina on December 14 and 15, FENA has learned from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of BiH.
During his stay in BiH, Lavrov should meet with members of the BiH Presidency, BiH Foreign Minister Bisera Turković, and a separate meeting should be held with BiH Presidency Chairman Milorad Dodik in East Sarajevo.
Russia's foreign minister was due to visit BiH in October but delayed his visit to BiH due to mandatory self-isolation after coming into contact with a person infected with Covid-19.
It was then announced that Lavrov would also meet with the Deputy Speaker of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH (PSBiH), Dragan Čović, and the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives of the PSBiH, Borjana Krišto.
Also, after the meeting between Turković and Lavrov, an official meeting of the delegations of the two Ministries of Foreign Affairs and the signing of the Consultation Plan for the period from 2021 to 2022 was planned.
Lavrov visited BiH in 2018 on the eve of the general elections, and this time he was supposed to visit BiH on the eve of the local elections.
