Remains of five people found in the exhumation process in Sanski Most

FENA Press release

SARAJEVO, December 3 (FENA) - The bodies of five victims of the war in Bosnia, thought to have been killed in 1995, have been found at the Greda locality, near Sanski Most, at the site where 70 bodies were exhumed before.

The remains of five people presumably killed in 1995, have been found at the Greda locality in the Bosnian municipality of Sanski Most, the Missing Persons Institute of Bosnia and Herzegovina, MPI BiH, has announced.

Institute spokesperson Emza Fazlić told BIRN that five complete bodies, which are presumed to be Serb victims killed in the Sanski Most area in October 1995, have been exhumed.

“Each of the bodies was found wrapped in a blanket and placed in a separate coffin,” Fazlić said.

Fazlić noted that another exhumation was performed at the same locality in 2000, when 70 bodies were exhumed.

Representatives of the Institute for Missing Persons, a forensic doctor, police officers of the USC MoI who are securing the location, as well as the necessary machinery are all participating in the exhumation process, the Prosecutor's Office of BiH stated.
