SARAJEVO, December 3 (FENA) - An extraordinary session of the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council of Bosnia and Herzegovina (HJPCBiH), with only one agenda item dedicated to the current situation, began today in Sarajevo with a delay of about 20 minutes, due to technical problems.

The immediate reason for convening this extraordinary session was an audio recording that has further compromised the incumbent president of the HJPC, in connection with the alleged appointment of Sanja Čegar into the HJPC, who is the sister of the former Council member Milijana Buha.

At the beginning of the session, the President of the HJPC, Milan Tegeltija, reiterated the already known views, stating that this was a montage, illegal and inauthentic recording.

The issues raised by the recording aroused great public interest, but also the reactions of relevant international organizations, such as the OHR, the OSCE, the Delegation of the European Union to BiH, and the US Embassy, which addressed this latest situation in the BiH judiciary.

Consequently, the extraordinary session of the HJPC has stirred great interest, as evidenced by the presence of a large number of media representatives in front of the HJPC.
