SARAJEVO, December 1 (FENA) - Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina Denis Zvizdić (SDA) sent amendments to the Law on Foreigners of BiH to the parliamentary procedure today in order to send a clear message that violence will not be tolerated.
As he assessed on his Twitter profile, the state should send a clear message through the system of general prevention to migrants/foreigners residing in BiH that violence and violations of public order and peace in BiH will not be tolerated and that this may be a legal reason for supervision and deportation.
The proposal of the Law on Amendments to the Law on Foreigners aims to amend the article that refers to the reasons for imposing the measure of expulsion to foreign citizens.
In that context, Zvizdić proposed to enable the expulsion of foreign citizens who have been convicted of misdemeanors with elements of violence or breaches of public order.
It was also specified that the competent authorities will be able to impose expulsion measures for the criminal offenses of possession and enabling the use of narcotics, and not only for criminal offenses related to drug trafficking.
