SARAJEVO, November 24 (FENA) - Deputy Speaker of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina Dragan Čović received today the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Sweden to BiH Johanna Strömquist.
At the beginning of the meeting, the two officials agreed that relations between the two countries are good and friendly, without open issues, and that they expect an intensification of economic relations and better economic cooperation in the coming period.
Čović presented to Ambassador Strömquist the current political situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, especially in light of the local elections in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as the course of the election campaign in the City of Mostar.
During the meeting, the activities carried out in resolving 14 key priorities from the Opinion of the European Commission on the request of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the process of approaching the European Union were also highlighted.
Ambassador Strömquist reaffirmed Sweden's strong support for BiH's European integration process, announcing concrete assistance in implementing reforms and activities aimed at BiH's accession to the European Union, the BiH PA stated. said.
