SARAJEVO, November 23 (FENA) - Delegates in the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina should, at a session scheduled for tomorrow, November 24, consider the abolition of the jubilee allowance for elected and appointed BiH officials.
As explained by a delegate from the Bosniak caucus Denis Bećirović (SDP) who proposed such an amendment to the Law on Salaries and Remunerations in the BiH Institutions, the right of elected and appointed officials to this type of monetary remuneration is completely insensitive to the difficult social and economic situation, social realities and that is why he proposed changes to the law.
A different amendment to the Law on Salaries and Remunerations in the BiH Institutions was proposed by the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly, but the Constitutional Committee of the House of Peoples assessed that it was not in accordance with the Constitution, therefore the delegates will vote on such a negative opinion of the Committee tomorrow.
Amendments to the Law on Salaries and Other Remunerations in Judicial and Prosecutorial Institutions at the level of Bosnia and Herzegovina and amendments to the Law on Court Fees in Proceedings before the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina should also be considered.
