SARAJEVO, November 17 (FENA) - Currently, some election commissions of basic electoral units in Bosnia and Herzegovina, with the approval of the Central Election Commission of BiH, determine the results from regular polling stations where the polling board did not do so, therefore it is not a matter of recounting but counting the ballots in order to determine the election result correctly.
Ballots from absentee polling stations, ballots from abroad, ballots of voters who voted through regular and Covid-19 mobile teams, ballots of voters who voted on unconfirmed ballots will be counted at the Main Counting Center in Sarajevo, the CEC noted.
In accordance with the Rulebook on the organization of work and determination of voting results in the Main Counting Center for the Local Elections 2020 the first to count are unconfirmed-enveloped ballots, absentee ballots, mobile team ballots, mailed ballots, ballots for voting in the BiH diplomatic and consular mission, ballots for special (COVID-19) mobile team and ballots, in accordance with the decision of the Central Election Commission of BiH on the recount.
The counting of ballots in the Main Counting Center has not started yet, because the delivery of these categories of ballots from the main storage of the Central Election Commission of BiH is expected.
All activities in the Main Counting Center can be observed by accredited observers for the Main Counting Center, the CEC BiH said.
