BANJA LUKA, November 16 (FENA) - President of the Alliance of Independent Social Democrats (SNSD) Milorad Dodik announced today that the SNSD and its coalition partners will form a parliamentary majority in Banja Luka and Bijeljina.

He congratulated everyone who won the election, adding that the election was fair and honest.

He said at the press conference that he would not initiate the removal of the newly elected mayor of Banja Luka, Draško Stanivuković, who comes from the PDP, in the first year of his mandate.

But he also said that "the new mayor will not have our support, and it is important for the city", and that the parliamentary majority will continue the projects.

“We ran a moderate campaign. The dirty campaign on their part has ruined relations to such an extent that not a single proposal of the mayor will be supported, even if he was Einstein,” said Dodik.

He also announced that he would suspend investments and financial resources towards the City of Banja Luka from the level of the RS entities.

SNSD President and BiH Presidency member Dodik also expressed doubts about the behavior of some coalition partners (United Srpska, Demos, DNS and the Socialist Party), but said he was still gathering evidence.

If the suspicion is justified, that is, "if we do not decide to accept them in the majority in the City, all their staff will be eliminated within 24 hours from any place where the government has jurisdiction," announced Dodik.

SNSD expects more than 43 mayoral positions after yesterday's local elections, but 41 are safe.
