SARAJEVO, November 15 (FENA) - Tensions around election observers have complicated and marked the election day in Doboj, after which some political parties are demanding the annulment of the elections in this city and a repeat of the vote.
Thus, the city board of the Democratic People's Alliance (DNS) Doboj made a decision to withdraw from the election process due to the observed election irregularities.
"The PDP observers were prevented from performing their duties at a total of 68 polling stations, which irreparably contaminated the election process because the preparation of polling stations and ballots was done without the supervision of the opposition observers," said Igor Crnadak, head of the PDP Main Election Headquarters.
Mirko Šarović, the president of the SDS, said that "due to the fact that crime and the mafia in Doboj control the election process, we will demand that the elections in this city be held under full monitoring."
The SNSD candidate for the mayor of Doboj, Boris Jerinić, declared victory in the local elections this evening and pointed out that the SNSD councilors' list in the local assembly also achieved a convincing advantage.
