SARAJEVO, November 5 (FENA) - The United Nations Population Fund in BiH has developed a software application used within Viber, which aims to provide young people, as well as other categories of voters who use Viber, with the most basic data on Local Elections in Bosnia and Herzegovina 2020
BiH Central Election Commission member Suad Arnautović said that all users can go to the website https://viber.com/izbori2020 or simply type the term 'elections' in a Viber search.
Then, he explained, they will receive basic information about the local elections, such as how to vote, who they can vote for and "what is very important at the moment how to recognize and report election irregularities."
Arnautović told FENA that the goal is to use that software application to motivate and empower young voters who are voting for the first time, as well as all other groups of voters, to vote in the local elections on November 15 and the elections in Mostar on December 20.
“For example, the console who to vote for will take you to the application on the list of candidates for each basic constituency in BiH. Also, the console on how to vote, you get the most basic information that easily leads you to how to vote for town or municipal mayors, municipal councils. In the console on how to recognize and report election irregularities, you can click to select the Central Election Commission or two NGOs Transparency International or the "Pod lupom" Coalition and then the link also leads you to instructions and forms for reporting certain irregularities in the election process,” Arnautović explained.
He also thanked the UN Population Fund for this very useful software application, simple and easily accessible to every voter in BiH and the world, especially young people.
