SARAJEVO, November 4 (FENA) - Raisu-l-ulama of the Islamic Community in BiH Husein effendi Kavazović, together with the President of "Merhamet" Kenan Vrbanjc, visited the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey in Bosnia and Herzegovina today.
Raisu-l-ulama met with the Turkish Ambassador Haldun Koç and expressed his condolences to the Turkish authorities and the families of the victims of the earthquake that hit their country, as well as a wish for the injured to recover as soon as possible.
On this occasion, the Raisu-l-ulama also noted that "we are not economically powerful, but we feel obliged to help as much as we can through the Directorate for Religious Affairs of Turkey (Diayanet)."
The readiness of the Islamic Community to launch a wider action to help the victims of the earthquake through "Merhamet" was also expressed.
On this occasion, the Raisu-l-ulama handed over 100,000 euros of emergency aid to the Turkish ambassador, reports MINA.
