MOSTAR, November 3 (FENA) - "Amusing museums in the cross-border area" is the name of a workshop held in Mostar today, which presented projects to promote Montenegrin and BiH museums and tourism potentials planned for the next year.
According to the Manager of the "Amusing Museums" project, Rasim Tulumović, this project seeks to make museums in the cross-border area, primarily in Herzegovina and the cross-border part of Montenegro, more interesting for visitors.
“First of all, we want to improve the way of presentation in museums by introducing modern technologies, LCDs, tablets, interaction, establishing some software, programs that will enable interaction with visitors and perhaps the most attractive is the introduction of equipment and software for virtual reality. This would enable the visitor of the museum in Jablanica, for example, to find himself/herself in some way a participant of the battle on the Neretva River,” Tulumović emphasized.
He noted that in addition to modernization, i.e. technical equipment of the museums in Jablanica and Nikšić, they are also working on improving the way of presentation and management in museums.
“So we have completed the certification of 22 guides according to the Interpret Europe methodology in the cross-border area, then in the coming period we expect the production of original souvenirs, standardization of catering services, training of museum managers, connecting with museums and other activities,” said the project manager.
He added that the project is about halfway through implementation and that the first deliveries of goods and installation of equipment are expected in Jablanica and Nikšić this month so that intensive promotion can begin in the spring.
The workshop also awarded five Interpret Europe certificates for people from Herzegovina who successfully completed the training, passed the exam and received a certificate from Brussels, and the course was successfully completed and passed by a total of 22 people.
The workshop "Amusing Museums of the Cross-Border Area" was organized as part of the cross-border cooperation project of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro called "Amusing Museums (aMUSeumING)", funded by the EU and implemented by the LiNK Association with partners. The workshop was held in compliance with all epidemiological measures.
