Germany donates 12 ventilators to hospitals across BiH

SARAJEVO, November 3 (FENA) - The Government of the Federal Republic of Germany has donated 12 Dräger ventilators worth a total of 350,000 euros to hospitals across Bosnia and Herzegovina.

These are quality artificial respiratory devices and related equipment for which maintenance is provided on the territory of BiH.

In addition, training for hospital staff will be organized to work on these devices. Ventilators will be donated to hospitals in Sarajevo, Banja Luka, Mostar, Zenica and Tuzla, and one ventilator for the hospital in Nova Bila has already been delivered.

German Ambassador Margret Uebber said in Sarajevo today during the handover of the devices that unity is especially important in times of crisis, and that Germany is with BiH even in times of global pandemic.

"This donation is part of our continued support to this country and should be a contribution to overcoming these difficult times together," Uebber pointed out, adding that the donation was realized in cooperation with the German Civil Protection Service - THW.

A member of the Crisis Staff of the FBiH Ministry of Health and Assistant Minister of Public Health of FBiH Goran Čerkez and head of the RC East Sarajevo, Institute of Public Health of the RS, Vlado Miovčić expressed gratitude for all the support that Germany has continuously provided to BiH, its health system and the economy.
