Grlić Radman: Croatia strongly advocates changes to the BiH Election Law

FENA

MOSTAR, November 2 (FENA) - The Republic of Croatia strongly advocates the implementation of all judgments of the BiH Constitutional Court and changes to the BiH Election Law to ensure that three peoples and other citizens elect their own political representatives at all levels of government in Bosnia and Herzegovina, said Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Croatia Gordan Grlić Radman today in Mostar.

Minister Grlić Radman said that he is honored and pleased to give a lecture today at the University of Mostar on the 25th anniversary of the Dayton Peace Agreement, what the Agreement meant at the beginning and what the results of that agreement are 25 years since its signing.

“Croatia fully supports and advocates BiH's Euro-Atlantic path and, as an EU member, it is in its interest to have a stable, functional and prosperous Bosnia and Herzegovina, which I am friend with. All three peoples of Bosnia and Herzegovina should be, and are constitutive and equal,” said Grlić Radman in a statement for press.

He added that over the past 25 years, certain parts of the Dayton Agreement have been "derogated by 'crawling' reforms" and that these changes have been to the detriment of the Croat people in BiH.

“The Republic of Croatia strongly advocates the implementation of all judgments of the Constitutional Court and changes to the Election Law, which will guarantee the election of its own representatives at all levels of government for all three peoples and other citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina,” said Grlić Radman.

When it comes to the Presidency of BiH, Grlić Radman stated that it was imagined that representatives of the constituent peoples would be in the state presidency, which, according to him, is not the case now.

On this occasion, the Minister also stated that he was impressed by the activities carried out by the University of Mostar.

The Rector of the University of Mostar, Zoran Tomić, stated that the University of Mostar monitors all processes within Bosnia and Herzegovina from the academic point of view.
