CoM adopts a proposal of the BiH-Serbia cross-border cooperation agreement

SARAJEVO, October 29 (FENA) - At today's session, the Council of Ministers of BiH adopted the Proposal of the Agreement on financing the Program of cross-border cooperation activities Serbia - Bosnia and Herzegovina for 2019 between the European Union (EU), the Government of the Republic of Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

It is an agreement worth 2,352,941.00 euros, of which the EU grant amounts to two million euros, and the final beneficiaries of the project will finance a total of 352,941.00 euros.

The program area includes 67 municipalities in Bosnia and Herzegovina and 31 municipalities in Serbia.

The goal of the program is to improve the socio-economic development in the border areas of ​​Serbia and BiH by implementing targeted and concrete activities, with the joint use of resources.

The period of execution of this financing agreement is 12 years upon its entry into force, while its operational implementation will last six years.

The total estimated value of the Program in the medium term from 2018 to 2020, is EUR 6,823,529.00, of which the EU finances EUR 5.8 million through a grant and the grant beneficiaries the difference in the amount of EUR 1,023,529, stated the Council of Ministers of BiH.
