Novalić in Turkey on strengthening economic cooperation

SARAJEVO, October 28 (FENA) - Prime Minister of the Federation of BiH Fadil Novalić is on an official visit to the Republic of Turkey, where he met with the Minister of Transport and Infrastructure of the Republic of Turkey Adil Karaismailoglu and discussed the Sarajevo-Belgrade motorway in the Federation of BiH, specifically the Tuzla – Brčko section.

They also opened talks with Turkish Railways on joint development projects in the electromechanical industry and the production of rail vehicles. These are extremely important projects for which there is knowledge and experience in the FBiH.

The meeting was also attended by the Director General of the Railways of the Republic of Turkey Ali Ihsan Uygun and the Director General of the Directorate for Infrastructure Investments AEGM Yalcin Eyigun.

Also, Novalić visited the company Sintek Madencilik, which deals with the establishment of large plants such as thermal power plants, cement plants, steel factories, refineries and the like. He discussed about specific investments related to cement plants and sustainable energy.

A meeting with a member of the Economic Policy Council of the Presidency of the Republic of Turkey, Hakan Yurdakul, was held at the BiH Embassy in Ankara. The meeting was also attended by the most prominent businessmen of the Republic of Turkey, who have direct business ties with Bosnia and Herzegovina.

One of the conclusions reached at this meeting is that there is a need to structure cooperation, and that Yurdakul offered the full support of the Economic Policy Council of the Presidency of the Republic of Turkey in connecting with Turkish investors.

Along with Prime Minister Novalić, the meetings were attended by the Deputy Minister of Communications and Transport of BiH, Nedžad Branković, and the Prime Minister's associates, as well as the Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the Republic of Turkey, Adis Alagić.

The aim of the visit to Turkey is to strengthen existing and make new Turkish ties with businessmen in the Federation of BiH, the Press Service of the FBiH Government said.
