SARAJEVO, October 13 (FENA) - Prime Minister of the Federation of BiH Fadil Novalić and Prime Minister of the Sarajevo Canton Mario Nenadić signed today an Agreement by which FBiH Government transferred its share of ownership over the Maršal Hotel to the Sarajevo Canton in exchange for terminals in Blažuj.
This brought the process, which lasted more than 12 years, to an end. In the coming period, both the Sarajevo Canton and the Terminals of the Federation of BiH will invest in conceptual projects that are nearing completion.
"These are two properties that were in the "wrong" places, what belongs to the Federation of BiH was owned by the Sarajevo Canton and vice versa. Due to the legal sequence of Energopetrol, Maršal Hotel was in FBiH ownership, and the Blažuj terminals were owned by the Canton," said the FBiH Prime Minister Fadil Novalić after signing of the Agreement.
It is of great importance for the Federation of BiH to have stocks of petroleum products so that the industry can survive in case of disturbance. Thus, the construction of terminals in Blažuj and Bihać is planned to start this year. The goal is to have terminals and reserves by 2023 in accordance with the European Union Directive.
The Federation of BiH has eight terminals, of which four are continental, three are military and one naval. The total volume is 200 million liters.
