SARAJEVO, October 8 (FENA) - Deputy Speaker of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina Bakir Izetbegović believes that deputy Dušanka Majkić’s accusations against BiH Foreign Minister Bisera Turković are very malicious.

Majkić suggested that "Information on illegal and unprofessional activities of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of BiH Bisera Turković" be discussed at today's session. Explaining this item on the agenda, Majkić said that it was due to 'really inexplicable moves that the minister is making'. When determining the agenda of today's session, that proposal was accepted.

Izetbegović said that he is not surprised by deputy Majkić, but that he was surprised by the attitude of the Croat Democratic Union (HDZ) about it.

He reminded that Čović, Turković, Plenković and he agreed to relax relations and be careful what words to use just ten days ago in Zagreb.

“This was absolutely in collision with such agreement. Čović and HDZ claim that Bosniaks elect representatives to Croats, and we believe that sometimes in parliament representatives who are a minority, in this case, Croats, oppose what is a basic and democratic principle and the will of the majority when it is not vital national interests, such as the lobby that runs betting shops, then blocking the formation of the FBiH Government or the FBiH Constitutional Court. The Government and the Constitutional Court in FBiH must be formed. We did not repeat these things in vain, because this is unconstitutional and illegal behavior of the HDZ,” said Izetbegović.

He asked how to harmonize the judgments of the European Court of Human Rights and the Constitutional Court, which are in conflict, on two different principles, civil and ethnic.

“We have not been able to do that for 12 years,” said Izetbegović and added that he would not negotiate in a situation of blackmail.

Speaking about the judiciary, Izetbegović said that it must be competent, professional, which is not under the influence of politicians and which does not divide people by religion, and that it is far from that now.

“When one pulls and two are stopping, it is unlikely that we will have candidate status for the EU in five years. But if we worked, then it would be realistic to achieve that in 2021,” Izetbegović concluded.
