SREBRENICA, October 8 (FENA) - The "My Address: Srebrenica" initiative called on the Central Election Commission (CEC) of BiH and other competent institutions to conduct an urgent investigation and cancel irregular reports by mail from Serbia.
According to the press release, out of the total of 2.301 registered persons for voting by mail for the area of the municipality of Srebrenica, about 900 of them are registered for voting from Serbia.
Out of that, as many as 60 are the names of Bosniak returnees or Bosniaks who live abroad in countries other than Serbia. Apart from them, many Serb citizens living in the city and working in institutions in the Srebrenica municipality are also registered to vote by mail. Everything points to abuses, to which the CEC must react.
After a series of investigative stories that indicate, from credible sources, that voters in Serbia registered at butchers and fictitious facilities, the only thing the CEC can do is to reject all registrations coming from Serbia until the circumstances of registration there are determined, stated from the initiative ‘My address: Srebrenica ".
They warn that 'the number of registered voters from Serbia by mail has increased tenfold in eight years, when the mass registration machinery was launched, which' replaced 'the more expensive version - the transport of voters on election day'.
While the number of voters for the pro-Bosnian candidate is growing naturally and in proportion to the mobilization of the diaspora, such numbers from Serbia indicate an anomaly. We will not accept that this serious violation of the right to vote continues. With every fictitious voter from Serbia, the vote of one returnee, one citizen of Srebrenica who really lives there, or one of our exiles who has not yet exercised the right to return is annulled, announced "My address: Srebrenica" initiative.
