SARAJEVO, October 7 (FENA) - Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH Staša Košarac stated that a completed revised Questionnaire for the export of red meat to the EU market has been submitted to the European Commission.
After the BiH Veterinary Office on September 7, in cooperation with the BiH Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations, submitted to the European Commission the answers to the questionnaire on red meat exports from BiH to the EU, the competent Directorate of the European Commission submitted 14 additional questions to BiH, which were then forwarded to the competent authorities in the RS, the Federation of BiH and the Brčko District.
"The competent institutions in the RS, the Federation of BiH and the Brčko District have considered and harmonized the answers to additional questions. After the agreement of all levels of government in BiH has been reached, the answers were consolidated and sent to the European Commission," said Košarac.
He emphasized that the European Commission is expected to organize a video conference in the next ten days, which will be attended by representatives of the Veterinary Office of BiH and the competent institutions from the entities and the Brčko District in order to discuss the submitted answers of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Košarac announced that in the coming period he will actively work on negotiations with the EU on the possibility of exporting table eggs, saying that he expects the competent entity ministries to complete the necessary activities by the end of this year to achieve this goal in favor of domestic producers, stated the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH.
