SARAJEVO, October 2 (FENA) - Member of the Crisis Staff of the FBiH Ministry of Health Goran Čerkez, speaking at a press conference of the Crisis Staff on the measures taken in the Federation of BiH to fight against coronavirus infection, said that the Crisis Staff agreed yesterday to increase the number of visitors in cinemas and theaters from fifty to seventy.

All previously prescribed hygienic-epidemiological measures have been extended to fifteen days and adherence to these measures is implied. Čerkez noted that the increase in the number of spectators in theaters and cinemas was decided after assessing that there are good conditions for it, because the spectators, apart from wearing protective masks, do not talk to each other during performances.

When it comes to the election campaign, Čerkez said that all political actors are called not to hold large rallies, and if they do, the number of those present must not exceed 50 indoors, or more than a hundred outdoors. And this implies compliance with all other hygienic-epidemiological measures.

At yesterday's meeting, the Crisis Staff gave the consent for holding the match Bosnia and Herzegovina - Northern Ireland in Sarajevo in the presence of spectators from a maximum of one thousand eight hundred to two thousand at the stadium, in compliance with the prescribed measures. Everyone who will attend the match will have to leave their details.

“If after fifteen days there are no major consequences of this event, we will hold talks in terms of spectators in the stands in the Premier League and other matches,” noted Čerkez.

He emphasized that the prescribed hygienic-epidemiological measures remain in force and thanked the population, the police and the inspection for all the effort.

Asked about plasma therapy for the treatment of Covid-19, Čerkez answered that the Institute for Transfusion Medicine and the Clinical Hospital in Mostar initiated plasma collection and treatment with that method, and that the Federation of BiH will start this process in the coming period, but that the results will take some time, as well as that examples from around the world show that a good outcome should not be attributed only to the effect of plasma as it is one of the supportive methods, along with other necessary treatments.
