SARAJEVO, October 1 (FENA) - The Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina has supported the initiative to provide funds for the construction of the Poprikuše - Medakovo highway section on Corridor Vc with a loan from the European Investment Bank (EIB) in the amount of up to 340,000,000 euros.
The FBiH Ministry of Finance, the FBiH Ministry of Transport and Communications and FBiH Motorways Mostar should appoint authorized representatives to the loan negotiation team.
The final decision on the loan will be made after the conclusion of negotiations with the EIB, which will determine the final terms of the loan. The ultimate debtor for this loan is FBiH Motorways, the Press Service of the FBiH Government announced.
The section Poprikuše - Medakovo is 35 kilometers long, and the total estimated value of construction and construction supervision is 362 million euros. The section consists of two parts, namely Medakovo - Ozimice and Ozimice - Poprikuše. On this route there is also a tunnel 1,800 meters long, and two-sided rest areas Tugovo and Galovac.
There are 10 bridges on this route, the longest of which is 406 meters. Mostly larger and more demanding facilities are designed across the Bosna riverbed, the main road and the railway. The route also includes four tunnels with a length of 225 to 770 meters, and one rest area, it is stated in the announcement.
