FENA Press release

SARAJEVO, September 30 (FENA) - The BiH Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations Staša Košarac chaired today the fourth session of the BiH Trade Facilitation Committee, established by the Decision of the BiH Council of Ministers to further harmonize customs and other border procedures in accordance with the World Trade agreement and other agreements and protocols related to the trade facilitation process (SAA, CEFTA and EFTA).

The Project Team of the BiH Trade Facilitation Committee was formed at the meeting, as well as the interdepartmental working group for transparency and periodic review of the formalities of documentation, compensation and fees.

Košarac called on the representatives of 20 institutions at all levels of government in BiH, which are members of the Trade Facilitation Committee, to actively contribute to proposing adequate measures and decisions in order to improve the business environment.

"I advocate a policy of constant support to business associations in the country, as well as positive solutions that will enable easier trade of goods in foreign trade, which is clearly indicated in the exposition of the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH Zoran Tegeltija," said Košarac.

He pointed out that one of such measures could be a positive commitment of BiH towards the  "Mini Schengen" regional initiative, which implies full freedom of movement of goods, people, services and capital.
