SARAJEVO, September 24 (FENA) - The testimony of the Chief Prosecutor of the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina Gordana Tadić before the Provisional Inquiry Commission of the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly (BiHPA) to determine the situation in BiH judicial institutions has been postponed again. The commission has scheduled a total of 11 new dates for the hearing, in the period from September 30 to October 14.

Namely, the Commission was again informed that "Tadić is not able to testify due to previously assumed and urgent obligations".

Chairman of the Provisional Commission of Inquiry, Damir Arnaut, reminded after the meeting that cooperation with that commission was obligatory and prescribed by the Law on Parliamentary Oversight, stating that this is the commission's fifth attempt for the chief prosecutor to testify before the body.

He announced, at the same time, that the hearing of the head of the Office of the Disciplinary Prosecutor (UDT) of the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council of BiH (HJPCBiH) is scheduled for October 1, while the testimony of lawyers Ifet Feraget and prof. Edin Šarčević for October 5 and the President of the Court of BiH Ranko Debevac for October 8.

The Commission planned to hear the representatives of three journalists' associations on October 12, and in accordance with the conclusion proposed to the Commission by its member Zlatko Begić, several more relevant persons will be invited to the hearing.

At the session, the Provisional Commission of Inquiry adopted several other conclusions which, in addition to Begić, were suggested by its members - Branislav Borenović and Mirjana Marinković-Lepić, and which refer to the activities of the Public Procurement Agency towards the Prosecutor's Office of BiH in the context of violations of the Public Procurement Law, and the activities of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH regarding media allegations related to the violation of the Law on Civil Service, i.e. illegal employment in the Indirect Taxation Authority of BiH.

Commenting on the journalist's inquiry regarding the repeated non-response of the Chief Prosecutor of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH, the member of the Provisional Commission of Inquiry Mirjana Marinković-Lepić assessed that it is "an arrogant attitude towards the Parliament and the parliamentary committee", wondering "what could be more important than having a state parliament committee invite you to give certain answers".

In the same context, the member of the Commission, Zlatko Begić, answered that this latest case also shows a high level of irresponsibility and disrespect of state institutions.

The Commission began its work with a session in Sarajevo and the adoption of the Rules of Procedure in early June, and its formation followed after the so-called "Horseshoe" affair came out in public, whose main actor is President of the HJPC Milan Tegeltija.

The Commission was established to collect data from judicial institutions in order to detect fundamental problems in its (non) functioning, which should result in changes to a certain set of regulations, which primarily refers to the HJPC.

Damir Arnaut, Zlatan Begić, Branislav Borenović, Alma Čolo, Zukan Helez, Mirjana Marinković-Lepić, Dragan Mektić and Mira Pekić were elected to the Provisional Inquiry Commission for determining the situation in the judicial institutions of BiH.
