SARAJEVO, September 18 (FENA) - The Srebrenica Memorial Center has called on the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina to launch an investigation into the criminal responsibility of Republika Srpska Prime Minister Radovan Višković, citing protected witness M-16 who is on trial in BiH in 2017 in the 'Josipović et al.' case stated that "Radovan Višković offered him money to move mass graves".
"The allegations published by the research web portal Istraga.ba, which we have no reason not to believe are authentic, indicate the statement of protected witness M-16 who directly connects the name "Radovan Višković" with locations related to the genocide in Srebrenica, but also for later concealment and relocation, as well as active encouragement to participate in the concealment of mass graves," announced the Srebrenica Memorial Center.
The Center stated that they "encourage family members of victims, but also all conscientious citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina, to urge the Prosecutor's Office of BiH to undertake investigative actions, by filing criminal charges against Višković, believing that information available to the public is a sufficient ground for filing a criminal complaint and initiating an investigation".
"We are deeply disappointed that it took 13 years for this statement to be published, all the more so because it is about a suspect who was not only available, but also performed public functions in the past period. In addition, the acts charged against him are so monstrous that the credibility of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH is now measured only by the speed with which it will order the arrest and interrogation of Radovan Višković. Everything else will be a shameful relativization and instrumentalization of that institution for the purpose of covering up responsibility for genocide and crimes against humanity,” it was concluded in a statement from the Srebrenica Memorial Center.
