SARAJEVO, September 18 (FENA) - SDA Bratunac Municipal Board announced yesterday that, according to partially reviewed applications for postal voting for the upcoming local elections in Bosnia and Herzegovina, 554 people have applied for Bratunac electoral unit.
SDA Bratunac stated that out of the current 554 confirmed persons for postal voting, 312 of them are from Serbia, and 242 persons from all other countries around the world.
“Bosniaks are among those registered to vote from Serbia. The dilemma remains whether these people applied because they live in Serbia, or will be in Serbia on election day, or their identity has been stolen, given that some are permanent residents in Bratunac and some are currently residing in France,” it is stated in the statement.
The SDA calls on the mentioned Bosniaks, if they suspect the theft of their identity, to report it to the police, but also to the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA).
It is noted that with the outbreak of aggression against our country, all Bosniaks in Bratunac were expelled. Many of them are now living in countries around the world. It is estimated that more than 10.000 Bosniaks from Bratunac are currently outside Bratunac and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The statement said that in the elections for the area of the municipality of Bratunac, but also the entire Podrinje, more voters from Serbia vote by mail than from other countries.
This is, first of all, due to the fact that abuses of this right occur regularly. Unfortunately, it is almost obvious that these elections will be marked by fraud and abuse of voting by mail from Serbia and Croatia, as was the case in previous years, according to a statement from the Municipal Board of SDA Bratunac.
