SARAJEVO, September 17 (FENA) - Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Šefik Džaferović confirmed to reporters in Sarajevo after the session of the Presidency of BiH that the so-called "Mini Schengen" initiative was welcomed, but the Council of Ministers was instructed to analyze all agreements BiH has and to make a precise analysis of what it means for BiH, what the harms are and what the benefits are.

That analysis should be submitted to the Presidency of BiH within 30 days, although the member of the Presidency from RS, Milorad Dodik, proposed that Bosnia and Herzegovina join the "Mini Schengen" today, but that was not adopted.

Two conclusions were adopted, says Džaferović, which refer to the issue of fighting the pandemic, and two conclusions were adopted, which call for intensification of the activities of the BiH Council of Ministers when it comes to coordinating all epidemiological measures at all levels of government in BiH.

BiH Presidency requested more active role of the Coordinating Body, which exists within the Council of Ministers and which should be structured according to this type of danger.

The session also discussed the implementation of the National Strategy for the Prevention of Trafficking in Human Beings and adopted a series of conclusions calling on the Council of Ministers to take a number of measures within its competence and to coordinate other levels of government in order for BiH to respond more successfully to illegal trafficking.

One of the topics at the session was the Report of the Council of Ministers of BiH in the fight against illegal migration, and BiH Presidency members stated that some progress has been made in this area since the last session of the Presidency of BiH.

Džaferović noted that the priorities of the European Commission were also discussed, and the Council of Ministers was tasked to consistently apply the conclusions adopted by the Presidency of BiH at the end of April.

When it comes to the Reform Program submitted to NATO, that item was removed from the agenda because a complete report of the BiH Council of Ministers was not submitted, except for the report of the Ministry of Defense, but there are a number of ministries that need to give their response to the program and the Council of Ministers should submit a full report by the next session.

The Presidency discussed the issue of procurement of vaccines and agreed that BiH should conclude the agreement in that regard, and today at a telephone session, the Presidency of BiH should adopt two agreements concerning the IPA funds.

At the beginning of the session, BiH Presidency member Milorad Dodik asked the BiH Presidency to honor the deceased convicted war criminal Momčilo Krajišnik with a minute of silence, but Džaferović said that it was an anti-civilization act and that the victims deserve respect, not convicted war crimes.

“Everyone will have to understand and accept the decisions of both the International Court of Justice and The Hague Tribunal. There is truth about everything that happened in Bosnia and Herzegovina,” Džaferović underlined.
