BiH Border Police prevents smuggling of 12 migrants in Osmaci municipality

SARAJEVO, September 17 (FENA) - Officers of the Zvornik Border Police Unit and the Central Investigation Office of the BiH Border Police, in cooperation with officers of the Kalesija Police Administration of the Tuzla Canton Ministry of Interior, prevented the smuggling of 12 persons of Afro-Asian origin last night after midnight.

The smuggling was discovered in the area of ​​Osmaci municipality, and the driver of the vehicle in question, who was repeatedly asked to stop by police officers with light and sound warnings, disobeyed orders and fled, the BiH Border Police reported on Thursday.

After further fieldwork, the border police found another group of 20 people of Afro-Asian descent, linked to a previous smuggled group of migrants.

All illegal migrants, a total of 32 of them, were taken to the premises of the Zvornik Border Police Station. These are 22 men, 3 women and seven minors who come from Afghanistan (12), Iraq (10), Syria (6) and Iran (4), stated the BiH Border Police.
