SARAJEVO, September 14 (FENA) - Minister of Human Rights and Refugees of Bosnia and Herzegovina Miloš Lučić talked today with the Ambassador of the United Kingdom to BiH Matthew Field.
Minister Lučić informed Ambassador Field that the focus of his work is on resolving the issue of refugees and displaced persons in BiH through the CEB2 and RSP projects, but that the problems of those not included in these projects must also be resolved.
Therefore, Minister Lučić ordered a revision of the list of refugees and displaced persons in BiH in order to gain an accurate insight into how many people have resolved their status, i.e., how many have not yet resolved their status.
The British ambassador promised help in solving this important problem, the Ministry of Human Rights and Refugees said.
They also discussed the issue of domestic violence, where they jointly concluded that work must be done to raise awareness in BiH in order to solve this problem and provide all the necessary help and support to victims of violence.
Minister Lučić and Ambassador Field agreed that maximum effort should be made to resolve the issue of finding the remaining missing persons in BiH so that both victims and families could finally find their peace.
They noted that freedom of the media as one of the fundamental freedoms of any democratic society must be guaranteed because only free and independent media can influence and give their contribution to the development of iBH society.
Minister Lučić thanked the Embassy of the United Kingdom which has offered its practical and political support and assistance to the Ministry of Human Rights and Refugees.
