SARAJEVO, September 4 (FENA) - Prime Minister of the Federation of BiH Fadil Novalić, FBiH Minister of Environment and Tourism Edita Djapo and FBiH Minister of Agriculture, Water Management and Forestry Šemsudin Dedić received today delegation from the Republic of Turkey, headed by Chargé d'Affaires of the Turkish Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina Özgür Şahin.
They discussed the intentions of the Turkish Şişecam Group, the owner of the Lukavac Soda Factory, for further investment in this industry in Bosnia and Herzegovina. As it was announced, Şişecam is one of the largest Turkish investors in our country in terms of production capacity and employment. In the 14 years since he privatized the Lukavac factory, he has invested 300 million KM. According to plans, the current annual production capacity of 585,000 tons should be increased by another 100,000 tons.
The Government of the Federation of BiH, as Prime Minister Novalić emphasized, through a set of new regulations, wants to create more favorable conditions for foreign investors, because it favors not only the general economic development of our country, but also the preservation of existing and creating new jobs, the PR Office of the FBiH Government announced.
