Izetbegović: A medical worker has died with the most severe symptoms seen so far

FENA Press release

SARAJEVO, August 21 (FENA) - Director of the Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo, professor Dr. Sebija Izetbegović confirmed that a medical worker died last night in Sarajevo as a result of the coronavirus infection "with perhaps the most difficult symptoms we have seen so far".

"A medical worker, who was born in 1966, died last night, with perhaps the most difficult symptoms of infection we have seen so far. He was completely healthy, he did sports. We have another patient in almost identical state with severe clinical symptoms," said Dr. Izetbegović.

She assessed that the current situation in BiH with the infected persons, compared to the previous days, has gotten a little better, but she says that she is afraid that after the return of citizens from their vacations we will see a rise in those infected because of the increase in the number of patients, primarily in Croatia.

"These are worrying cases of a severe form of the disease that we used to have sporadically, now there are more of them," concluded Dr. Izetbegović.
