Remains of a person found near war criminal Milan Lukić’s house in Višegrad

SARAJEVO, July 21 (FENA) - The remains of a person killed in the last war were found today during an exhumation at the Rujište site near Višegrad. It is presumed that it is a victim of Bosniak nationality who was killed in that area in 1992.

The remains were found on the surface of the terrain near the house of the convicted war criminal Milan Lukić, and their exhumation is in progress. A cross had been engraved into one the bones, and shoes were also found.

During the day, a wider search and manual excavation of this terrain will continue. The exhumation was carried out by order of the Court of BiH and under the supervision of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH.

After the exhumation, the remains will be transported to the Center for Autopsy and Identification in Goražde for criminal-technical processing and bone sample will be taken for DNA analysis, in order to determine the identity of the victim, stated the Institute for Missing Persons of BiH.
