SARAJEVO, July 17 (FENA) - The FBiH Ministry of Health has declared the COVID-19 epidemic on the territory of the Federation of BiH.
As it was announced, after obtaining the opinions of the FBiH Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Justice and the Office for Legislation and Compliance with EU Regulations, the Ministry of Health issued an order declaring the COVID-19 infectious disease epidemic for the endangered area, the territory of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The order comes into force on the day of its publication in the Official Gazette of the Federation of BiH, July 17.
The adoption of the order declaring the epidemic was preceded by the adoption of the Information of the FBiH Ministry of Health on the aggravated COVID-19 epidemiological situation in the Federation of BiH at the session of the FBiH Government on July 2, which instructed the Minister of Health to declare a COVID-19 epidemic, and designates the entire territory of the Federation of BiH as an endangered area.
The proclamation of the COVID-19 epidemic on the entire territory of FBiH does not directly concern the population, but implies more operational activities of all relevant institutions that act in a given situation, and implements measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19 on the territory of FBiH.
If necessary, and depending on the situation, the order envisages the possibility of performing sanitary control at border crossings located on the territory of the Federation of BiH and implementing measures related to that control, quarantine, ensuring the necessary vaccine reserves when vaccines are available, immunization of the population when vaccines are available, as well as the implementation of other measures ordered by the FBiH Minister of Health or the Government of the Federation of BiH.
