It is extremely important that all this complex work has been completed in parliament. According to him, only six months ago, it was almost impossible, so on behalf of all participants of the meeting, he congratulated on the achieved result.

Ambassador Johann Sattler and the Quint ambassadors commended leadership for their decision to appoint members of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly to the Stabilization and Association Parliamentary Committee, a joint body of the European Union and the States signatory to the Stabilization and Association Agreement.

The ambassadors of the Quint expressed expectations that the work on the adoption of the Budget for 2020 will be completed within the announced deadline, but also the work on fulfilling the priority reform measures related to the rule of law, the fight against terrorism and the strategy for war crimes, enactment of laws on public procurement, reform of public administration, enactment of laws on conflict of interest, fulfillment of international obligations of BiH in the field of energy sector and amendments to criminal legislation and other important tasks.

Members of the leadership of the House of Representatives and the House of Peoples pointed out that the work on the vast majority of these reform measures is in an advanced or final phase and that there is a chance that it will be completed soon, and some of them by the end of this year. The need for greater engagement of the Council of Ministers of BiH as an executive body that should submit quality and harmonized laws to the parliamentary legislative procedure was pointed out. However, it is important not to offer euphoric deadlines but to make reform measures.

Thanks to the representatives of the international community for their engagement and support, the members of the leadership of the houses of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH expressed hope that such practice would continue.
