Turković participates in ministerial meeting of SEECP countries

SARAJEVO, June 25 (FENA) - Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs of BiH Bisera Turković participated today in an online meeting of foreign ministers of the Southeast European Cooperation Process (SEECP), held under Priština's chairmanship of the regional initiative.

In addition to the SEECP foreign ministers, the meeting was attended by European Commissioner for Neighborhood Policy and Enlargement Olivér Várhelyi and Secretary General of the Regional Cooperation Council (RCC) Majlinda Bregu.

The meeting was held in a very constructive tone, all participants stressed the need to strengthen regional cooperation and connectivity, and expressed gratitude to EU representatives for their support in the implementation of concrete activities and initiatives.

Minister Turković pointed out that the COVID-19 pandemic is one of the biggest challenges of today, which is why the health, education, economic and security sectors must be further improved. She expressed confidence that the countries of the region, which are still facing the effects of the pandemic, will be able to control the situation and deal with it, the BiH MFA said.
