SARAJEVO, June 25 (FENA) - World Vision BiH, with the financial and organizational support of the OSCE Mission to BiH, provided food and hygiene packages for 481 families during this month.
Families in need, identified by local civil society organizations in Bratunac, Breza, Bugojno, Čapljina, Gradačac, Ilijaš, Jablanica, Jajce, Konjic, Livno, Modriča, Novo Sarajevo, Prijedor, Sanski Most, Stolac, Sarajevo, Trebinje, Tuzla, Zenica and Zavidovići received these packages.
As part of this activity, assistance was provided to families in need with an emphasis on families whose members are children with disabilities, single parents and those who have suffered violence, families in which parents are not employed, including 171 Roma families.
OSCE Mission to BiH Program Officer Amela Tandara reminded that in Bosnia and Herzegovina a large part of the population lives in poverty and faces social exclusion, and that the issue of existence becomes even more important in a situation like this.
“The OSCE Mission to BiH, as part of a broader initiative to provide support to the state in its response to the pandemic, has joined the action of providing support to the most vulnerable categories of our society. We hope that this donation has made everyday life easier for families in need,” said Tandara.
