BANJA LUKA, June 23 (FENA) - The Emergency Situations Headquarters in Republika Srpska confirmed today that all previous measures to combat coronavirus remain in force, such as mandatory wearing of mask indoors, mandatory disinfection, limiting the operation of catering facilities until 11 pm and ban on gathering indoors for up to 50 people.
The measures will be in force until July 6, confirmed the Minister of Health of RS, Alen Šeranić, and reminded that the state of emergency is still in force in RS.
“The reason for such a decision of the Headquarters is the current epidemiological situation, i.e. the worsening in the last seven days and the increase of infected in RS,” said Šeranić and reiterated that it is up to citizens to act responsibly, because there is no vaccine or cure for this disease.
People who have been infected in the last seven days are in 95 percent of cases contacts with previously positive for Covid-19.
“It was confirmed that the virus spread more often at family gatherings,” said Šeranić, adding that infections are also possible at the workplace, and some "brought" the virus from abroad.
“Most of those infected in the last seven days are younger and middle-aged,” said Šeranić after the session of the Emergency Situations Headquarters in RS.
