FENA Dušica Stanojević

BANJA LUKA, June 23 (FENA) - The vice-chairman of the Council of Peoples of RS from the Bosniak caucus, Mihnet Okić, told FENA that the Bosniak caucus is disappointed with the decision of the Constitutional Court of RS to reject the veto of Bosniaks on the budget revision of that entity, which, he says, continues the previous practice of rejecting Bosniak demands.

He said that they are not surprised by this, having in mind the earlier decisions of the Council of the Constitutional Court of RS when it comes to the requests of Bosniaks, which were all rejected.

He believes that the explanation of the Council for the Protection of the Vital Interest of the Constitutional Court of the RS that the request of the Bosniak Caucus to initiate a vital national interest to the rebalance of the budget of that BiH is not acceptable to that entity, because no explanation of the request for violation of vital national interests was submitted, which is a procedural precondition for deciding on the merits of the request.

The Bosniak Caucus vetoed this move because the budget rebalance reduced the items related to sustainable return, and grants for Bosniak charities, organizations of civilian victims of war, as well as for the payment of severance pay to illegally fired Bosniak workers at the beginning of the war in RS.

Okić emphasized that the Bosniak Caucus will not give up challenging several decrees adopted by the National Assembly, during the state of emergency, because they are trying to register state property in RS.

It is a decision on confirming the Decree with legal force on amendments to the Law on special expropriation procedure for the construction of the Corridor 5c Highway through Republika Srpska and the construction of the "January 9" Banja Luka-Doboj Highway section, and the decision on early entry to the force of the Decision on confirmation of the Decree with legal force on amendments to the Law on special procedure of expropriation for the construction of the Motorway and gas pipeline of the section Vukosavlje-Brčko and Brčko-Rača.

The decisions on the subject requests will be made by the Council of the Constitutional Court of the RS within the deadline set by the Constitution within the next 30 days.
