BANJA LUKA, June 17 (FENA) - Prime Ministers of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Republika Srpska, Fadil Novalić and Radovan Višković, agreed on the Investment Plan of the public company "Elektroprenos BiH" (TRANSCO BiH) for this year worth around 173 million KM, which, apart from new projects, will enable a stable electricity supply.

In a statement for FENA, Višković specified that these are investments of around 130 million KM of that joint company for the transmission of electricity, while the rest is a loan.

According to the agreement of the entity prime ministers, he says, a large investment cycle has been ensured, and after almost three years, the operation of the public company Elektroprenos BiH has been unblocked and is working efficiently.

“Realization of projects in several cities in BiH is planned, among which are transmission lines across Srebrenica, towards the border with Serbia, substations Banja Luka I and II, investments in transmission line from Pale to Jahorina, substation on that mountain, anticorrosion protection of transmission lines in RS in in the amount of two million, and in FBiH three million, then about 30 million for electronic management in Elektroprenos BiH, and about six million KM will be invested in the facility in Mostar, for the territory of Herzegovina,” specified Višković.

He said that the investment plan, previously adopted at the 49th session of the Management Board, will be submitted to the State Electricity Regulatory Commission for approval.

RS Prime Minister agreed with Novalić yesterday to hire new workers, because a number of them have retired or have gone to other jobs.

In all these transactions, the percentages of the investment capital of the entities in this company will be taken into account.

Višković reminds that he insisted on unblocking that joint company for the transmission of electricity for more than a year and a half, and that he talked about it several times with the FBiH Prime Minister Fadil Novalić.

“The agreement reached will solve key issues, investments, and that is the most important,” said RS Prime Minister Radovan Višković for FENA.
