BiH Court finds Božo Mihajlović guilty and sentences him to five years in prison

SARAJEVO, June 9 (FENA) - The Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina found Božo Mihajlović, former head of the Special Department for Organized Crime, Economic Crime and Corruption of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH guilty for prolonged criminal activity - negligent work and sentenced him to five years prison, it was confirmed for FENA from the court.

Mihajlović was found guilty on all counts of the indictment, which charged him that from 2006 to 2015, as a prosecutor and head of the Special Department of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH, he failed to supervise the work of the typist with whom he cooperated.

This is a first-instance, non-final verdict and the parties in the procedure reserve the right to an appeal.

As it was determined during the trial, Mihajlović failed to supervise his typist, who, according to the Prosecution, stole 225,762 KM, the money which was temporarily confiscated as part of several ongoing cases.

The indictment, in this case, was filed in June 2018, and the trial began in September of the same year.
