SARAJEVO, June 7 (FENA) - In the past 24 hours in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, 402 samples were tested, of which there were 14 positive samples for COVID-19.
New cases were registered in the Zenica-Doboj Canton (Tešanj) and the Central Bosnia Canton (Kiseljak). The nine new positive cases in the Tuzla Canton (testing is in progress) are yet to be confirmed and the results will be released subsequently," it is stated in the daily report of the Institute of Public Health of the Federation of BiH.
In the Federation of BiH, 40,319 samples have been tested so far, and COVID-19 has been confirmed in 1,129 persons - 623 (55.18 percent) of whom were women and 506 (44.82 percent) were men.
As of today, 949 patients have recovered in the Federation of BiH, while there are still 141 active cases of COVID-19.
Of the 39 confirmed deaths in the Federation of BiH, 22 were male (56.41 percent) and 17 female (43.59 percent).
In terms of age structure, 25 deceased patients (64.1 percent) were over 65 years old.
