Miraščić: FBiH Government adopted more than 50 measures during the pandemic

SARAJEVO, June 1 (FENA) - In the period from the end of January 2020, the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina adopted a number of measures, decisions and recommendations related to mitigating the negative consequences of coronavirus (COVID-19) divided into two major groups - health care and economic measures.

Goran Miraščić from the FBiH Government Office spoke on behalf of the FBiH Prime Minister about some of the most important economic measures to fight the pandemic at today's session of the House of Representatives of the FBiH Parliament. As he said, the Government of FBiH has adopted more than 50 measures since the end of January this year.

He reminded that a comprehensive review of all items in the budget was done and the rebalance of the FBiH budget was adopted in accordance with the new situation. More funds were redirected for spring sowing, and an additional 21 million KM was allocated from the budget of the Federation of BiH for the fight against coronavirus.

“At the 164th emergency session, a decision was made to change the decision for the allocation of FBiH Civil Protection Administration (FUCZ) funds from a special account, which is a sub-account in the treasury in the amount of 4.5 million KM. Funds of 4.9 million KM were allocated from the budget for FUCZ. On the same day, consent was given to the FBiH Civil Protection Crisis Staff for the procurement of funds. The government instructed all FBiH institutions to submit all materials on the conducted procurements and the criteria on the basis of which the bidders were selected, and the deadline was May 8. Among the 79 institutions and organizations was the FUCZ report, which was returned for revision on May 12, and at the session on May 12, the director of the FUCZ, Fahrudin Solak, was suspended,” Miraščić added.
