SARAJEVO, May 27 (FENA) - Deputy Chairperson of the Council of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina Bisera Turković today participated in a videoconference of Western Balkan foreign ministers, EU officials, foreign ministers from EU member states and other senior officials within the EU Strategy for the Adriatic-Ionian Region (EUSAIR) and the Adriatic-Ionian Initiative.
In addition to presentations of economic recovery measures and combating the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic in the countries participating in the Adriatic-Ionian Initiative, the participants discussed numerous proposed solutions and projects of common importance for political, economic and security priorities throughout the region and strengthening ties with other countries.
Minister Turković emphasized the importance to continue the implementation of the necessary economic reforms with the aim of faster integration and harmonization of regional project initiatives, and more intensive involvement of BiH in the EU integration.
She stressed the need to further strengthen regional cooperation in all areas of primary interest to the economies of all Western Balkan and EU countries, and expressed her deep conviction that the European Union will find ways to support the implementation of numerous regional projects as soon as possible, PR Office of the BiH Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced.
